Leather Wastland Boot Guard by DirtyandDistressed Leather Wastland Boot Guard by DirtyandDistressed
Work In Progress
I am currently putting the finishing touches on a Wasteland Boot Guard. All that really remains is some staining and distressing. I haven’t decided if I want to make a match for the other foot yet ( I find that symmetry detracts from the discordant wasteland mood). With a successful completion of this project in leather and a design that I find both functional and ascetically pleasing I may move on to crafting one in steel.

Just some scrap leather and buckles, a belt sander and some brass rivets. I am working on a redesign that will fit a wider range of boot (I had a bit of a problem with them fitting a wide range).

amazing, love the boot guard and I wonder how good it would look in steel

Sad thing is I have had a steel one cut out and ready to shape for a few months…I need to add it to my list of things I need to complete. I always seem to get distracted by the next project…so with a little luck I will get back to this sooner or lat…”oh look something shiny!”
